If you're a mom who loves to travel, you know that the right gear makes ALL the difference. After years of hauling kids through airports, bullet trains, and jungle roads, I've tested my share of travel products.
These are my personal top 3 mom-approved travel gear reviews that I genuinely swear by and have been tested in international trips with different terrains to Japan, Thailand, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, et al.

My top 3 mom-approved travel gear reviews for
Grab a coffee. Let's get right into it for my top 3 travel gear reviews for small kids and toddlers
If you don't have this on your list, you need to add it RIGHT NOW!! This will be your best mom travel gear forever!
Flights are hard in general, with little to no leg room for passengers. And now add an 18-hour red-eye flight to Singapore with two kids, that itself gives me chills.
I discovered this gem during our family trip to Singapore and Thailand (daughters were 2 and 4 yrs old at the time), and I genuinely wish someone had told me about it sooner.
Here's how it works: once you're settled into your seat, you blow into the little air holes, and the bed inflates to fill the legroom space in front of your child's seat. Suddenly, you have a little one stretched out flat, fast asleep, while you sip your wine in peace. 🙏 Hands down best travel gear for long-haul flights. (Book your next Singapore, Japan, Brazil flight now with ease:))
It provided such a comfortable sleeping solution for my kids during those brutal long-haul flights. This will be your best mom travel gear essential!!And bonus : I found the perfect footrest for myself during those tiring hours in the sky. All you need to do is blow into the air holes once you're settled in, and you're ready for a somewhat peaceful flying experience. 😅
Why I am obsessed with It
✓ Turns airplane tiny leg room space into a flat sleeping surface for little ones
✓ Doubles as a footrest for us moms ( hello, circulation!)
✓ Lightweight and packs down small. It can easily fit in your carry-on or diaper bag easily
✓ No extra pump needed. Just blow into the air holes
✓ Works on long-haul international flights like Singapore, Japan, Brazil, Thailand
✓ Kids sleep way better instead of kicking you throughout
💡 My hot take: These are handsdown the most underrated piece of travel gear for families with small kids and toddlers. Every mom I've shown it to has immediately ordered one. You're welcome in advance because real reviews never lie.
Perfect for: Red-eye flights, long-haul international travel like Singapore, Japan, India, toddlers and young kids who can't sit still for 10+ hoursShop my favorite Travel gear products for toddlers and kids

#2: Diaper Bag Backpack for Toddlers and Kids
First. This is not any other, just a diaper bag. This is a hiking bag, a storage bag, a food bag, and SO much more. I have used this travel gear throughout all our travels from Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Guatemala, and Mexico. If you're a mom who packs for the entire family with little toddlers and kids(which is all moms), this bag is your new best travel gear essential and companion.
I have personally packed: clothes, jackets, snack items, coloring books, toys, water bottles, a travel medical kit, and still had room to add more items. (see above us with my then toddler in Colombia). Hands down best travel gear for families with young kids who carry the world with them:)
Why I am obsessed with It
✓ Waterproof material. Traveling/hiking in the rain doesn't ruin anything inside (see above us in Guatemala hiking)
✓ Stylish enough to use as a day bag or hiking bag
✓ Fits a full family's worth of supplies for a day trip with its Insane pocket capacity.
✓ Comfortable backpack straps for long days of walking (think 15000 steps in Japan every day)
✓ Multiple access points so you're not digging through everything (review it for yourself)
💡 Pro mom tip: Pack your TSA essentials in the top zip pocket. You'll be the fastest person through security. Everyone will be impressed and you will feel like a superhero.Shop my favorite Travel gear products for toddlers and kids

#3: Compact Travel Strollers for toddlers and kids
Not all travel strollers are created equal. After testing strollers on the unpaved roads of Brazil, the bullet trains of Japan, and the busy streets of Thailand, here are my two absolute favorite travel gear for families with small kids.
I love this stroller for its compact design and ease of use. It worked perfectly on the unpaved roads of Brazil, and that is saying something. If a stroller can survive Brazil's cobblestones, it can survive anything. And will eventually become your favorite travel gear essential as a mom.
Why I am obsessed with It
✓ Compact fold for easy navigation through airports and tight spaces in the streets of Rio & Salvador in Brazil
✓ Works well on uneven, unpaved terrain of the likes in Salvador, Brazil, or Antigua, Guatemala
✓ Reclines enough for nap time on the go (especially helpful during the Brazilian afternoon heat)
✓ Removable umbrella canopy for flexible shade control
✓ Small storage space for jackets and backpacks when needed
✓ Lightweight and easy for one parent to manage alone

👉 Option 2: Ingenuity 3D mini Stroller
👉 Option 3: Other Amazon compact travel stroller options
The stroller that wowed me more than I expected. Super Compact: The very reason I bought it in the first place for our trip to Japan!
It folds into a backpack-size case that can fit into the airplane overhead bin, be carried as a backpack (with cover), or stored in the bullet train of Japans luggage area.
It stands upright when folded. I had never seen this in an umbrella stroller before. On the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto, I just folded it, stood it up in the luggage area, and went back to my seat. No holding it.
Again, that's why it's now my favorite travel gear essential as a mom. (review it yourself)

Why I am obsessed with It
✓ Folds small enough for airplane overhead storage
✓ Weight limit shows 40 lb; however, both my daughters (2 and 5 years old at the time, combined ~70 lbs) sat on it TOGETHER with ease in the streets of Kyoti, Japan. Their review trumps everyone :)
✓ Stands upright when folded especialy useful in Japan bullet trains and Tokyo subways where you can't hold it

💡 Pro Mom Tip: If you're traveling to Japan, this stroller is practically designed for it — bullet trains, subway cars, and Kyoto buses all have tight spaces where a freestanding, compact stroller is worth its weight in gold.Shop my favorite Travel gear products for toddlers and kids

My Final Thoughts
Travel with kids is messy, exhausting, and absolutely worth it. But the right gear can turn a stressful journey into a sort of manageable adventure. These three products have earned a permanent spot in my travel rotation through Japan, Brazil, Singapore, Colombia, Guatemala et al. You need to have these travel essentials for your next trip with kids.
✓ Inflatable Travel Bed for peaceful long-haul flights
✓ Diaper Bag Backpack for carrying your entire family's life in one stylish bag
✓ Compact Travel Stroller for navigating the world with little ones in tow
